Hi!
I have recently tried to connect my FB-Messenger account to Messages on OS X, using a Jabber account, myfacebookusername@chat.facebook.com and my Facebook-password. But I fail to connect using this method.
Do any of you know how to connect the two applications together on El Capitan 10.11.2?

Hi,
It can no longer be done.
All Facebook.chat IDs have been closed by Facebook.
They have removed the Jabber server that was used for the Facebook.chat IDs and mover their Messaging to inside the regular Facebook Login.
This means that external Jabber IDs and apps that can access the Jabber server that exist can no longer chat directly to Facebook Users.
